Fun facts: Chua Chu Kang holds the record as the oldest single ward in Singapore history until it was absorbed into Chua Chu Kang GRC in 2011. Since 1988 where the GRC was conceptualised, Yio Chu Kang is the only single ward that was carved out for one election and absorbed in the next.
